ACTION ALERT: Remove 2450 Victoria Park Development from June 30 Toronto Council Meeting Agenda
This action alert is now closed
Dear Community Member,
Our power is in our collective voice. This past weekend our community mobilized and within 24 hours over 1,500 action alerts were sent to the Mayor of Toronto and all City Councillors.
This week’s accomplishments are a testament to the ongoing efforts and expertise offered by our ConsumersNext committee and the commitment and activism of community members like you. Together, we were able to defer the surprise discussion of the 2450 Victoria Park Ave development from the Toronto City Council agenda. Thank you.
However, we still have work to do! The developer’s proposal is on the Toronto City Council agenda scheduled for July 28th, 2020. We will be reviewing the proposal, summarizing our findings, and presenting an opinion.
Our negotiations regarding the details of this development will continue with the City and the developer. We will continue to build upon the agreements already achieved to date and ensure that the development enhances our neighbourhood and improves our current traffic and accessibility issues.
We will continue to provide regular updates and ask for your support. We are proud of what we have accomplished, but we still have a lot to do. Let’s continue to work together and make our voice heard.
Thank you again.
